Abandoned Places oder Lost Places wie man in Deutschland eher sagt, sind Orte, die schon lange verlasse wurden und an denen nichts mehr stattfindet. Hier wurde gearbeitet, gelebt, gekämpft oder gefeiert. Aber heute sind diese Orte verlassen und stehen meist schon sehr lange leer. Kein Mensch kommt mehr für den ursprünglichen Zweck, zu dem diese Orte erschaffen wurden dort hin. Und so stehen diese Hallen, Häuser, Theater, Kinos oder Sportstätten meist verlassen da und verfallen. Die meisten sind sehr vom Vandalismus gezeichnet. Tags, Graffiti und Müll oder einfache Zerstörungswut der Menschen zeichnen diese Plätze. Meist ist es verboten, diese Orte auf eigene Faust zu erkunden.

Du Machst Dich Strafbar!

Man macht sich des Hausfriedensbruchs strafbar. Wird von Sicherheitspersonal gejagt und vertrieben. Manchmal kommt die Polizei oder es wird damit gedroht, sie zu rufen. Es ist also nicht so einfach, diese Plätze in Ruhe zu erkunden. Aber die meisten Orte belohnen einen mit ihrer ganz eignen Atmosphäre und Ruhe. Dort, wo früher alles so hektisch und lebendig war, ist es meist sehr still und friedlich. Die meisten Bilder mache ich mit meiner Leica.

Abandoned or Lost Places as they tend to say in Germany, are places that have long been abandoned and where nothing takes place anymore. Here was worked, lived, fought or celebrated. But today these places are abandoned and are usually empty for a very long time. No one comes there anymore for the original purpose for which these places were created. And so these halls, houses, theaters, cinemas or sports venues mostly stand abandoned and decaying. Most of them are very much marked by vandalism. Tags, graffiti and garbage or simple destructiveness of the people draw these places. Mostly it is forbidden to explore these places on your own.

You are liable to prosecution!

One becomes liable to prosecution for trespassing. One is chased and driven away by security personnel. Sometimes the police come or are threatened to call them. So it’s not so easy to explore these places in peace. But most places reward you with their very own atmosphere and tranquility. Where everything used to be so hectic and lively, it is usually very quiet and peaceful. I take most of the pictures with my Leica.
